Despite its financial problems, Zalgiris Kaunas is still the boss in LKL. It was proven in the finals, where Zalgiris got the title with 4-0 wins over Lietuvos Rytas. The first game ended with a 15 points difference, in the second Lietuvos tried its best but lost 77-71, then Zalgiris destroyed Lietuvos (72-45) and it was total surrender in the fourth game (83-65). Lietuvos with new coach, the German Dirk Bauermann, wanted to do something better in the finals, but couldn’t specially after cutting former NBAer Patrick O’Bryant from its roster, while using him just for three minutes in the first game.
