Romain Sato - Fenerbahce Ulker Istanbul EB12Spanish club Valencia Basket added some top experience to its roster on Friday by adding swingman Romain Sato for the next season. Sato (1.94 meters, 32 years old) arrives from Fenerbahce Ulker of Turkey, where last season he played 23 Turkish Airlines Euroleague games averaging 7.3 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.3 assists. After that, he started a long, successful run with Montepaschi Siena that lasted four seasons coinciding with the rise of the team to Italian supremacy. In 2010, Sato moved to Greece to sign with Panathinaikos Athens and in 2011 he was crowned Euroleague champ at the Barcelona Final Four with the Greens. In the summer of 2012, he moved to Istanbul to sign with Fenerbahce Ulker. Sato will now return to the second club competition in Europe as he first played it with Montepaschi in 2006-07, his first season there. Sato also collects several Italian and Greek national titles including cups and leagues.
