Detailed schedule for 2013-14 regular season released

The fully detailed schedule for the 2013-14 Turkish Airlines Euroleague Regular Season has been released, showing dates and tentative tipoff times that fans can now use to make plans to see basketball at its best later this year. The regular season extends through 10 weeks from October 16 to December 20. Dates and times are available for all but the 10th and final week, the schedule for which is determined nearer to the end of the regular season. Exact tipoff times are tentative pending the finalization of television schedules.

The Turkish Airlines Euroleague Regular Season will open with two early games on Wednesday, October 16 featuring long-established clubs hosting others that are making their returns to the competition next season. In the first, German champion Brose Baskets Bamberg takes on visiting Strasbourg, the French League runner-up, with 20:00 local time marking the opening tip of the season. One half-hour later, at 20:30 CET, Italian champion Montepaschi Siena will take on Galatasaray Liv Hospital Istanbul, the reigning Turkish League winner.

From Week 2 through Week 9 of the regular season, all games will be played on Thursdays and Fridays, with an even split of six games on each of those days in all except two weeks. The regular season rewards the top four finishers in each group of eight teams with a spot in the Top 16, which would begin on Thursday, January 2 of the new year.
